Some of these institutes were founded in the early 1900s and have a long and profound educational history.

Fontys’ programs are very diverse: a mix of theory, application of knowledge, internships and graduation assignments. One part of our programs is the minor which gives students the opportunity to broaden or deepen their knowledge. Eindhoven

The region Eindhoven is located in the South-East of the Netherlands and is a top technology breeding ground for innovation and is home to world-class businesses, knowledge institutes and research institutions. This region is internationally known as Brainport Region; a European center of science and technology. Eindhoven is a genuine student city, with a wide-ranging array of student facilities available.

Tilburg

Tilburg is a dynamic city situated in the heart of the region. Rich in culture and well-known for its many arts events and festivals, it is also home to various cultural institutions. With a population of just over 214,000, Tilburg is the sixth city in the Netherlands by size. Its down-to-earth inhabitants are no strangers to foreigners as Tilburg is currently witnessing an explosive growth in international students and expats, lured to the city by one of the many multinationals based there, such as: Tesla, FUJIFILM, Sony, Ericsson, Schenker Logistics and Coca-Cola.

The Tilburg Campus is located on the outskirts of the city and is serviced by excellent bus connections and safe cycling routes.

The impressive Arts Cluster can be found in the city center, but besides culture and the arts, Tilburg has much more to offer its student population, for example a vibrant student life. More than 30,000 students study at Tilburg’s universities and their presence has helped to transform the city into a hub for creativity and innovation.

Venlo

Even though Fontys is one of the largest educational institutions of the Netherlands, the university is organized to provide education in small classes. The classes consist of around 30 students. Most international students live in one of our three student apartment blocks, so it’s easy for to make friends.

Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences prepares the student for the work field from the first week of his studies. You will work on projects in cooperation with businesses, you will learn to network and you will be trained in applying for jobs. Besides providing knowledge in the specific area of your study program, Fontys also focuses on your personal development and innovative skills, such as entrepreneurship, creativity and technology.
