The Millfield English Language Holiday Courses (MELHC) has provided students since 2001 with an all-round experience, offering high quality English language tuition together with a full activity, social and cultural program in a safe, independent school environment.
Courses are available in the Easter holidays for students aged 10-17 and the summer holidays for students aged 6-17. A variety of afternoon academies, clubs, evening activities and excursions is available each week and all students attending MELHC courses will have at least 15 hours of English tuition per week.
Millfield English Language Holiday Courses are accredited by the British Council and teachers are appropriately trained to teach English as a Foreign Language.

Accommodation at Street Campus
Street Campus (for students aged 12-17) is one of the UK’s leading co-educational independent schools situated in the beautiful Somerset countryside. It has modern accommodation with separate houses for boys and girls, the majority of which are located on campus. Rooms are single, two-bedded, three-bedded. Staff are accommodated in the same houses, with each house allocated a Houseparent and Assistant who are responsible for the running of the house and the health and welfare of the students living there.
Programme at Street Campus
In the mornings, there are four options to choose from, each consisting of 15 hours per week; General English, Academic English, Global Studies.
Afternoon Options: A wide range of afternoon and a variety of academies in which students will receive specialist coaching from experienced coaches: Art, Sports & Recreation, Basketball, Football, Golf, Tennis, Dance, Cooking, DJ’ing, Fashion, Swimming (not for beginners), Photography, Eco Academy, Music, Performing Arts,Outdoor, Adventurers, Riding (experienced riders), Stage & Special Effects Make-Up.
Choosing one of the below options increases your English tuition to 23hours per week: 1.English literature, 2. Presentation Skills, Debating Skills
On the Millfield English Language Holiday Courses action-packed activities and events provide a memorable experience for all. Both campuses are brought together for large events to participate in a wide variety of exciting activities such as the Rock Festival, Millfield the Musical, International Food Festival, Summer Fete and many more.
A full social program is provided at each campus, making every moment special. An impressive program of evening activities provides the fun that delivers the true ‘Millfield Experience. Evening activities include the Millfield Extravaganza, Water Olympics, Discos, Talent Shows, House Song Competitions, and so much more. On Mondays each house will hold a House Party with fun games to help students to get to know each other.
