Queenswood is LINES’ second center in the UK and is ranked among the top 10 schools in England.
The English courses in Queenswood (Hertfordshire) are designed to engage and inspire students to improve their language skills whilst making friends and having fun at the same time.
The college offers an exciting range of excursions to destinations across the UK and a program of sports and activities that is second to none. It is also offering Pro-Activities professional coaching in Tennis & Horse Riding, as well as experiences such as Musicals in London’s Theatreland and Harry Potter Studio Tours.
Facilities:
12 hours per week “Learning General English” & 12 hours per week . development of personal, social & managerial skills
The students improve their general English skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening) through language lessons and learn new life skills based on the age and the level of each student in classes from max.10 students same age and level.
Optional Pro Sport Activities based on weekly sessions: Tennis, & Horse Riding
Example activities include Art and Craft, T-shirt Tie-dye, Laser Tag, Archery, Basketball, Swimming, Street dance, African drumming, Football
Lines activity night include festival & live band or Olympics, onsite games and evening concert, carnival
Excursions
At LINES Queenswood, students can enjoy two full-day excursions to a range of destinations, selected for their interest and enjoyment. All excursions are fully supervised by trained staff to make sure that the students get the very best our of each excursion. At LINES, excursions form an integral part of the learning programme, giving students the opportunity to practice and use their language skills in real-life settings whilst gaining an appreciation and understanding of the culture and history of the UK. In addition to the academic and Saturday excursions, LINES also offers optional Sunday excursions
Optional: Musical experience & Harry Potter Studios
LINES Queenswood is based in the county of Hertfordshire, close to St Albans famed for its Roman history. Queenswood is approximately 45 minutes from Heathrow Airport, 30 minutes from central London and 60 minutes from Oxford. The school is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with private access set in acres of forest and parkland.
