For 25 years “LINES” has been providing high quality academic language courses where students “Learn and Smile” in the same language!

There is a strong international mix of students at LINES. Students are welcomed from all corners of the world with up to 15 different nationalities on site. There is a strong emphasis on immersion and students are always encouraged by LINES staff to speak French, whether in class, at dinner, on excursion, during activities or when relaxing in their accommodation. The program is residential, all students and staff remain on campus during their stay.

Programs

The program is based on three areas: academic-activities-excursions.

Students learn French during the day, do some activities after class and explore the surroundings once a week and twice during the weekend.

  • 8×45 min. French lessons daily
  • 2×45 min. Hands-On classes every day are dedicated to Hands-On. This is a great opportunity for students to get the most from their experience inside the classroom. Students revise the language learnt through games and activities in a relaxed and fun environment to end the academic day)
  • 2×45 min. are dedicated to Workshops daily (they provide an active learning where students can interact and communicate using the French language. Workshops options: Drama, French repertoire, Cooking, Delf exam preparation, Film production, Business French, Academic French, Writing).
  • Small class sizes, average 7-8, maximum 10 students
  • Class groups of same age and same level

Leisure

Activities provide an opportunity for LINES students to practice their French in a native-speaking environment. Students will get the opportunity to select a different activity each day:

Basketball, Swimming, Field games, Tennis, Football, Arts & Crafts, Lines Olympics, Quiz

 Excursions

Excursions are an integral part of the academic program at LINES. Students will get to explore some of the main attractions of the French Riviera. 1 midweek and 1 weekend excursions are included in the basic program (Nice, Grasse’s perfumery, Biot’s Glassmaking, St Tropez, Cannes, Ile St Marguerite). Additional to the planned weekday and weekend excursions are optional excursions on Thursdays and Sundays each week.

Location

Valbonne is LINES’s centre on the French Riviera, France. LINES Valbonne is based on the French Riviera, a region that is close to locations such as St Tropez, Cannes, Grasse, Nice, etc. LINES Valbonne is part of a beautiful campus, 35 minutes from Nice Int’l Airport and 30 minutes from Cannes. The school has private access and is set in idyllic surroundings.
