Admission

For Arts Programmes

  • The fundamental requirement for admission to the bachelor’s degree program at University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) is a higher education entrance qualification, which you will have achieved with your high school diploma or equivalent. You may also be accepted on the grounds of your vocational training and an additional three years of occupational experience. Furthermore, all the applicants undergo a portfolio review and a personal interview.

The fundamental terms of admission for the master’s degree program at the university are a bachelor’s degree with 180 ECTS credits. Should this be in a non-design subject, UE will review the artistic work you’ve submitted to decide whether you can be accepted.  Furthermore, all our applicants undergo a portfolio review and a personal interview

For Business Programmes

  • The admission requirements for the bachelor’s degree program are a high school diploma or equivalent occupational certificate, including an internship; passing the entrance examination; and a personal interview. In exceptional cases, admission is possible without a high school diploma or equivalent occupational certificate. In such cases, the applicant must have completed vocational training, have at least three years of work experience, as well as pass a two-day entrance examination at University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE).
  • Upon selection of a German-speaking program, you will need a certificate of German-language ability (Test-DAF 4/DSH 2). Upon application for an English-speaking program, you should likewise be able to demonstrate English-language ability (min. Level B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages). German skills are not required if you study an English-taught program.

 

The admission requirements for the master’s degree program are: completion of a bachelor’s degree with a final grade of at least “good” (2.5), otherwise a letter of recommendation from the previous university is required, and a personal interview in German and English

Tuition fees

For EU applicants monthly tuition fees for Bachelor programs start from 745 € (with payment over 36 months and all semesters). Prices may vary by program.

The University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) has four locations in Germany: Berlin, Hamburg, Iserlohn (NRW), and Potsdam (UE Innovation Hub).

Berlin: The campus of the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) is located in the heart of the multicultural city, in the immediate vicinity of ‘Potsdamer Platz’. With the help of modern digital technology, students can cooperate with companies across borders. Our campus also has a workshop for creative entrepreneurs (‘Gründerwerkstatt’) and learning areas that help our students to build their careers.

Hamburg: The historic campus building is only a few minutes away from ‘Altona’ railway station and, thanks to the imposing cross vaults, bright courtyard, and modern facilities, our campus is always leaving some lasting impressions – not only to our students.

Iserlohn: On the campus in Iserlohn, teaching, living, and learning take place in a friendly atmosphere. Short distances and a simple combination of focused learning and living shape the character of the beautiful campus in Western Germany

The UE Innovation Hub is located on the grounds of the SAP Think Campus, which is currently being developed into a tech center in the Berlin region
